Codex
The Codex turns the loot you already pick up into permanent power. Every hunt in the game has its own chapter asking for the things its creatures actually drop — hand them in and you get a small, permanent bonus that applies to your whole account, on every character you own, forever.
The Idea
Every hunt in Olimpia has a chapter in the Codex — a named chain of three steps. Each step asks for a handful of items that the creatures of that hunt drop, and pays you one permanent attribute in return.
Nothing in the Codex is a side quest. It never sends you somewhere new — it only rewards you for hunting where you were already going to hunt. Every chapter has its own name (Umbral Manifest, Sunken Quire, and so on), fixed forever to that hunt.
Opening the Codex
Use the Open Codex button in the side menu, or type !codex. The window has a list of hunts on the left and the details of the selected one on the right, split into three tabs:
- Hunts — every chapter, grouped by the level of its hunt, from the very first to the endgame. Each row shows three pips: one per step, filled as you complete them.
- Favorites — the chapters you pinned, so the ones you are working on are always one click away. You can keep up to 30.
- Total Effects — everything the Codex is currently giving you, attribute by attribute, plus how much of the maximum you have earned so far.
Selecting a hunt shows the item list of the active step, how many of each you have already handed in, which creatures drop them, and the button to deliver or to unlock.
If the window ever fails to open, !codex texto prints the same summary as plain text.
Three Steps per Hunt
Every chapter runs I → II → III, in order. You cannot skip ahead: a step only appears once the one before it is finished.
Free to start
Asks for 2 different items. Costs nothing to open — every chapter in the game is already available to you right now.
Unlocked with gold
Asks for 3 different items, in larger amounts. Has to be paid for before you can deliver anything.
The real chapter
Asks for 4 different items and costs ten times what step II did — but it is also where the rarer attributes live.
Each step pays one attribute, decided by the chapter. In most hunts step I pays maximum health and step II pays maximum mana, and step III is what changes from hunt to hunt — critical, leech, dodge, skills or magic level. A small set of 12 hunts breaks the pattern entirely and pays skills, magic level and dodge across its three steps.
What It Asks For
Every item a chapter asks for is real loot from that hunt's creatures. Nothing is invented, nothing has to be bought from an NPC, and nothing sends you to another hunt. If a chapter asks for it, the creatures on that page drop it.
The amounts follow the drop rate, but not proportionally — rare items are asked for in far smaller numbers, so a 1% drop never turns into an impossible grind:
| How often it drops | Roughly how many are asked for |
|---|---|
| Always (100%) | ~400 |
| Common (10%) | ~180 |
| Rare (1%) | ~80 |
| Very rare (0.1%) | ~36 |
On top of that, two things push the amounts up: the step (II asks half again as much as I, III asks double) and the level of the hunt (an endgame hunt asks about 50% more than a starter one). Every requirement lands between 50 and 1,000 items.
Some categories never appear, even when creatures drop them: food and drinks, ammunition, runes, tools, containers, light sources, instruments, books and documents, quest items and decoration. What the Codex wants is spoils — creature products, weapons, armour, jewellery, gems, trophies and scrap.
Delivering
One button does everything: Deliver. It sweeps your loot pouch and every bag you are carrying, takes what the step is still missing, and saves the progress.
- Partial deliveries count. You do not need the full set. Hand in 40 of the 400 today, come back tomorrow with more. Everything you gave is already banked.
- Your loot pouch is included. You do not have to empty it first. The sweep reads the pouch and every bag in your inventory in one go, wherever they are.
- Equipped gear is never taken. Only what sits inside a bag counts. The boots on your feet stay on your feet, even when the chapter asks for that exact item.
- Protected items are safe. Anything you locked with the item protection is skipped, even when its name is on the list.
- Rare and upgraded pieces are safe. An item with a rarity or an upgrade on it is never consumed. A forged piece is worth far more than a delivery.
- Delivered items do not come back. The item is destroyed the moment it is handed in. The message tells you exactly what left your backpack and how much is still missing.
Unlock Costs
Step I is always free. Steps II and III are paid once, from your bank, and the price is tied to the level of the hunt — a starter chapter costs pocket change, an endgame one is a real investment.
| Hunt level | Step I | Step II | Step III |
|---|---|---|---|
| 8 | free | 200.000 | 2.000.000 |
| 100 | free | 2.500.000 | 25.000.000 |
| 500 | free | 12.500.000 | 125.000.000 |
| 1000 | free | 25.000.000 | 250.000.000 |
| 2000 | free | 50.000.000 | 500.000.000 |
Paying for a step only opens it — it does not deliver anything. And once paid, it stays paid: the unlock belongs to your account forever, on every character.
Unlocking every step of every chapter in the game would cost about 29 billion gold in total. Nobody is expected to do that quickly — the Codex is designed to be chipped away at over a very long time.
What You Get
This is what the fully completed Codex is worth — the ceiling, shared across all 360 steps:
| Attribute | Codex at 100% |
|---|---|
| Maximum health | +15% |
| Maximum mana | +15% |
| Skills | +6% |
| Magic level | +6% |
| Critical hit chance | +2% |
| Critical hit damage | +2% |
| Life leech chance | +2% |
| Life leech amount | +2% |
| Mana leech chance | +2% |
| Mana leech amount | +2% |
| Dodge | +2% |
Higher-level hunts pay more. The ceiling above is split between the steps that pay each attribute, weighted by the level of the hunt. Finishing a level 2000 chapter is worth about five times as much as finishing a level 8 one — the same work, but the endgame page counts for far more.
| Attribute | Cheapest step pays | Best step pays |
|---|---|---|
| Maximum health / mana | +0.051% | +0.252% |
| Skills / magic level | +0.092% | +0.452% |
| Critical and leech | +0.061% | +0.299% |
| Dodge | +0.031% | +0.146% |
The skills bonus is applied to each skill on its own base, so a character with high sword and low fist gets a big bonus to sword and a small one to fist — it never averages them out.
It Belongs to the Account
This is the single most important thing about the Codex: progress and bonus are shared by every character on your account.
- What one character delivers, every character gets. Nothing is ever asked for twice.
- A brand new character starts with the full Codex bonus already applied, from level 1.
- Unlocked steps, completed chapters and favourites are all shared.
- The bonus is permanent. It never expires, is never lost on death, and does not need to be renewed.
The game recalculates your Codex bonus when you log in and every time you advance a level, so the percentages always reflect your current health, mana and skills instead of what you had when you first earned them.
Tips
- Favourite the hunt you are grinding. Open the Codex before a session, pin the chapter, and you will know exactly which drops to stop throwing away.
- Deliver often, not once. Partial progress is saved, so there is no reason to hoard 400 items in your backpack. Hand in whatever you have whenever you pass through town.
- Step I is free money. Every chapter's first step costs nothing to open. Before spending gold on anything, sweep through the free steps of the hunts you already farm.
- Unlock high-level chapters first. A step in a level 2000 hunt pays roughly five times what the same step pays in a level 8 one. If you can already farm endgame, your gold goes much further there.
- Check the Total Effects tab before and after. A single step is too small to notice on your status bar, but the tab shows the exact number.
- Lock what you want to keep. The delivery sweep does not ask twice, and it reaches your loot pouch too. If you are saving plain gear to sell, protect it or leave it in the depot.
- It never expires, so there is no rush. Nothing in the Codex is seasonal or timed. Anything you skip today is still there next year.
